One-to-One Support

Sometimes you just need someone to listen. Our bereavement support volunteers are compassionate, sensitive and trustworthy. You can share your deepest pain and loneliness with them in confidence.

Bereavement Support Group Program

The programs run spring and fall covering the following topics:

  • Primary and Secondary Losses
  • Loneliness and Depression
  • Anxiety and Panic
  • Anger
  • Guilt and Forgiveness
  • Memories
  • Special Days
  • Moving On
  • Saying Goodbye

Coffee & Conversation Bereavement Support Group

This group meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday afternoon of each month at Tomkins House hospice (currently virtually due to Covid-19). The group offers clients, who have lost a loved one, a safe and comfortable environment with open conversation. Group discussions will cover a variety of topics.

Yoga for Grief

Every Tuesday at 11:00am, hosted virtually through Zoom. Please join yoga instructor Lisa to engage in breathwork, meditation and gentle movement to help your body, mind and soul through the healing process.

Art Therapy for Grief

2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 1:00pm, hosted virtually through Zoom. Join Registered Art Therapist Jae Fratzl as she guides you through a variety of artistic activities to help you process grief in a new and unique way.

Parent's Circle

The 4th Thursday of each month

Please join our circle where we provide understanding, encouragement and support to any parent who has suffered the death of a child in any circumstance and at any age.

Hospice Huronia also has several presentations planned featuring a variety of guest speakers on topics ranging from Advance Care Planning, Cooking for One, Funeral and Estate planning and more!


Anyone can refer someone to Hospice Huronia with the consent of the person being referred and anyone can refer themselves.
