One-to-One Support
Sometimes you just need someone to listen. Individual grief and bereavement support is available through our trained volunteers (either by phone or in-person). Our bereavement support volunteers are compassionate, sensitive and trustworthy. You can share your deepest pain and loneliness with them in confidence.
Structured Bereavement Group
Discover healing and support in our 8 week Structured Bereavement Group, where a guided framework provides comfort and direction through the grieving process. Led by experienced Volunteer facilitators, this group offers a nurturing environment for sharing experiences, learning coping strategies, and finding resilience in the journey through loss
Coffee & Conversation
Join our supportive Coffee and Conversation group, where sharing stories and fostering connections provide comfort and strength in times of loss. Indulge in comforting cups of coffee as we navigate the journey of grief together. Our facilitated group meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month and our casual drop-in social group meets twice a month. Please specify preference upon registration.
Guys Group
A supportive space where men can share their experiences, emotions, and challenges in coping with loss. Connect once a month with others who understand, build camaraderie, and find strength together on the journey through grief.
Caregiver Support
Connect with other caregivers once a month and share experiences, challenges, and successes in a supportive environment. Gain emotional support, practical advice, and coping strategies to manage the stresses of caregiving.
Yoga for Grief
A gentle and nurturing space for individuals to explore grief through mindful movement, breathwork, gentle stretches, soothing poses, and meditation. In partnership with The Yoga House, participants will meet weekly, either in person or online, to honour emotions and experiences in a supportive and compassionate environment. All levels welcome.
Art Therapy for Grief
Explore the transformative power of creative expression through Art Therapy when navigating the complexities of loss by fostering resilience, offering a space for expression, healing, and finding comfort within. Facilitated by a Registered Art Therapist, both in class and online options available, once a month, with no experience required.
Parent's Circle
A compassionate space where parents come together, once a month, to navigate the profound journey of grief. Through shared experiences and supportive conversations, we honour the memories of our children and offer comfort to one another on the path toward healing and resilience.
Children's Grief Group
A seasonal group that provides space for children to express emotions and share experiences related to loss. Each season, the group gathers to engage in age-appropriate activities, discussions, and creative outlets, fostering healing and understanding. Through seasonal themes and tailored support, the group helps children navigate their grief journey, offering companionship and comfort along the way.
Healing Walk
A gentle and nurturing space for individuals to process grief while immersed in the tranquility of nature along the Champlain Trail. Through shared experiences and supportive conversations, find understanding and companionship among fellow walkers who are also navigating the challenges of loss. Every Saturday morning (beginning in June), explore the healing power of movement and the beauty of the outdoors.
MAID Support Group
Explore compassionate support and understanding in our MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying) Support Group that offers guidance, empathy, and compassion for individuals navigating the complexities of end-of-life decisions, providing comfort and companionship along the way.
Mindful Mourning Meditation
Discover solace and healing amidst loss in our Meditation Group. Through gentle guidance and mindful reflection, we navigate the depths of grief together, finding peace, resilience, and connection as we honour our experiences and embrace the journey of healing.
Pregnancy & Infant Loss
Our Pregnancy and Infant Loss group meets once a month, offering a supportive space for individuals who have experienced a miscarriage, a still birth, loss of a multiple, whose baby died, infertility, and/or loss of an embryo. Through shared experiences and mutual support, members find
comfort, healing, and a sense of connection as they navigate the complexities of grief and honour memories.
Traumatic Loss Series
Our traumatic loss series provides a compassionate and understanding environment for individuals who have experienced profound loss as a result of
Substance Use, Suicide, and Sudden Unexpected losses. Through mutual support and validation, members find healing, resilience, and a sense of connection as they navigate the complexities of their grief journey together.
Spousal Loss Group
The spousal loss grief group meets twice a month and provides a compassionate and understanding space for individuals who have experienced the profound loss of a spouse. Participants come together to share their stories, emotions, and challenges in a supportive and empathetic environment. Through shared experiences and mutual support, members find comfort, understanding, and a sense of connection as they navigate the journey of grief after the loss of their spouse.
Write to Heal ... Journaling
A reflective and therapeutic outlet for individuals processing the complexities of grief through writing. Participants come together to explore their emotions, memories, and experiences in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. Through the act of writing, participants will gain insight, clarity, and a sense of empowerment while navigating grief. Together, find comfort, connection, and a renewed sense of hope amidst the pages of your journal.
